Sean completed her BSc in Biological Engineering at MIT, concentrating in Immunoengineering. She is interested in combining machine learning, immune repertoire profiling, and protein modeling to understand and engineer adaptive immune responses. 
 
At MIT’s Koch Institute, she worked in Dr. K. Dane Wittrup’s lab on protein engineering and computational design. She also conducted structural biology research at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research in Copenhagen, contributing to a Molecular Cell publication. Following her early graduation, she joined Dr. Douglas Lauffenburger’s lab, where she led a multi-omics study of maternal vaccine responses. 
 
Sean has additional industry experience at Matrisome Bio and Eli Lilly, working on therapeutic protein engineering, bioconjugation, and microRNA profiling for gene therapy. 
 
Outside the lab, Sean captained MIT’s varsity women’s soccer team and represents the Hong Kong women’s national football team. She also enjoys exploring coffee shops and reading. 

Sean is joining the programme to work with Dirk Aarts (Department of Chemistry, University of Oxford), John Frater (Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford) and Kiarash Jamali (Generative Biology Institute, EIT) on a project called ‘High-Throughput Immune Profiling for Antibody PLMs’.
